In partnership with Odgers Interim and hosted by Becky Mackeral, Head of Investment and Professional Services Practice, I was delighted to participate in an energetic lunch time debate on the Legal, Political, and Regulatory Landscape facing financial firms today. With my Partner colleague, Robbie Constance, Head of Financial Services Regulatory, DWF, we examined the current climate for regulation and legislation and the latest trends and themes on the horizon. Key points we explored together during this lively and engaging lunchtime discussion included:
- the role of accountability and transparency in consumer protection and enforcement, including the role of the Courts;
- the recent ‘Report on the Call for Evidence about the Financial Conduct Authority’ published by the APPG Investment Fraud and Fairer Investment Services; and
- Inclusion, Trust and Culture – the role of regulation and the move to return to office mandates.
You can read the published follow up article on the Odgers Interim website here. This is one of a series of lunchtime events co-hosted between Odgers Interim and DWF where we explore real-time issues and topics related to Sustainable Business and ESG, including corporate governance, business integrity and organisational culture.
